Dear Students

We are pleased to announce that Resource Sharing (formerly ILL) services at MEC are now open to students! You must use your MEC email address and be available to reply back to my email in order to use this service. Please have your library account updated and in good standing before ordering books or articles.

Unfortunately you cannot order new textbooks through ILL.

What is Interlibrary Loan Resource Sharing

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that obtains library materials (books and scholarly journal articles) that are not otherwise available from Medgar Evers College and CUNY libraries. We also lend our materials to other University and Public Libraries nationwide. ILL transactions are done electronically through a secure online ILLiad account.

Note: We do not borrow Textbooks.

Please see the Getting Started tab above with Step by Step instructions on how to set up your Illiad account and make a request.

Who can use the ILL service

ILL services are extended to FACULTY and STUDENTS with no outstanding library fines. You must have a current stamp on your MEC ID card and have your library account activated at the circulation desk each semester before you are eligible to use the ILL services.
