If you have a complete citation, it is easier to find the specific journal article you are looking for. The complete citation tells us the author, the year it was published, the title of the article, the name of the journal it appeared in, the volume and issue number, and the specific page numbers of the article. A complete citation looks something like the example below:
Bordwell, David. “Visual Style in Japanese Cinema, 1925–1945.” Film History 7, 1 (Spring 1995): 5–31.
